Virginia Key Beach Park is a 7.5-mile barrier island located south of Brickell and north of Key Biscayne, in Miami, Florida. It is accessible by car from the mainland via the Rickenbacker Causeway. The beach itself is known for its white sand, coral reefs and calm waters – perfect for snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing. Encompassing 850+ acres, Virginia Key Beach Park includes picnic areas that overlook Biscayne Bay and provide stunning views of the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. The park also includes a bathhouse dating back to the 1930s and a train tunnel that allows visitors to cross under Rickenbacker Causeway to enjoy more natural side of the park while walking along the shoreline trails.
