THE WRECK BAR

Built in the 1950s, the former Yankee Clipper (now the B Ocean Resort) is a fascinating attraction to itself — located right on Fort Lauderdale Beach, as it was built to resemble a large ship.

Inside, you will find the world-famous Wreck Bar, an oasis of nautical design resembling the interior of a shipwrecked Spanish Galleon, complete with aquariums and briny décor throughout. Then there is also a bonus – large portholes that look into the hotel’s pool from behind the bar.

SwimShow creator MeduSirena introduced the current fishtailed mermaid shows to The Wreck Bar back in 2006. She and her “AquatiCrew” have been swimming past the portholes of The Wreck Bar in a variety of ‘MeduSirena swimshows; offering patrons a view of a more unusual Florida aquatic species.
